I have been on this random Selena Redington trip for a while. Why? Since she is the prettiest and most used fanmade character that Candace and I own, she is always one of my favorites to doll and draw. (That and since Angel is my character, I always think too much about it and fubar her drawings/dolls.) I made a new doll of Selena earlier, trying to get back into dolling, and while I was reading a message from Candace about said doll, I just started doodling. Sicne it looked half-way decent I decided to ink it and FINALLY try to use Dani's tut.
Thus - a serious drawing of Selena. (I call this one serious, cause the other one was a little fruit and she was drunk. The drawing, not me.) good stuff - The hair is actually very pleasing to me, though in lineart form it is hard to tell where it all goes. And - the anatomy is actually decent!! My inking isn't too terribly bad either, but Dani's tut actually made it look AWESOME, so I am so thankful. bad stuff - I noticed I am a one-pose person. I don't like straight on faces, and I always turn them the same way. I'm just not advanced enough in drawing to make it look that good yet. The eyes look bad right now, not colored and all. Gundam Wing eyes are hard to duplicate, and I sucked it up. The mouth is wonky to me too... I dunno why. What do you think?
I used 's shading tutorial and made both lineart and an actual colored picture (and not the coloring of the lineart I did on my other Selena picture and my Usagi one - the ACTUAL coloring). Be sure to send a good comment her way if you think the lineart or shading looks good!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
