I have been on this random Selena Redington trip for a while. Why? Since she is the prettiest and most used fanmade character that Candace and I own, she is always one of my favorites to doll and draw. (That and since Angel is my character, I always think too much about it and fubar her drawings/dolls.)
I made a new doll of Selena earlier, trying to get back into dolling, and while I was reading a message from Candace about said doll, I just started doodling. Sicne it looked half-way decent I decided to ink it and FINALLY try to use Dani's tut.

Thus - a serious (shaded) drawing of Selena.
(I call this one serious, cause the other one was a little fruit and she was drunk. The drawing, not me.)
good stuff -
Shading on the hair - Gundam Wing hair is flat and often just three shades, so this is rather good (at least for my first try at anything). The skin is kinda dark, but she is supposed to be half-Argentinian, so I can claim that it looks close.
bad stuff -
Shading on everything else. It looks better when it's smaller, granted, but I'm still kinda disappointed with myself. I'll train more before my next one, but yeah. I like critique, but please give me more than "I hate this picture, everything is wrong." I know that already, so anything that will help me improve will be greatly adored.

I used 's shading tutorial and made both lineart and an actual colored picture (and not the coloring of the lineart I did on my other Selena picture and my Usagi one - the ACTUAL coloring). Be sure to send a good comment her way if you think the lineart or shading looks good!
